GALAXY
(Global Pandemic COVID-19 Impact on Students Anxiety and Stress Level)
SCORE CIMSA FK YARSI
The world is currently in shock with the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to prevent the development and spread of COVID-19, the Rectorate of YARSI University has taken a policy to shift all forms of learning that were previously face-to-face to be carried out remotely or what is called Distance Learning (PJJ). Research conducted by Livana et al in the journal “Learning Tasks Causes of Student Stress During the Covid-19 Pandemic”, the results showed that “Learning assignments” were the main factor causing student stress during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study involved 1,129 students from several provinces in Indonesia. (Livana et al, 2020)

Based on this background, SCORE CIMSA FK YARSI conducted a research on the “Relationship between Learning Performance and Stress and Anxiety Levels during the COVID-19 Pandemic”, by filling out questionnaires and processing SPSS data as a form of applying SCORE Goes Public Level 1. This event also aimsto increase the knowledge of college students regarding the relationship between learning performance and stress levels during the COVID-19 pandemic.
SCORE CIMSA FK YARSI held a webinar on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at SCORE Goes Public Level 3 through a Zoom Meeting Webinar “GALAXY : Global Pandemic COVID-19 Impact on Students Anxiety and Stress Level” with Linda Maysha, M.Psi., Psikolog, a psychologist from HIMPSI (Indonesian Psychologist Association) as the speaker who discusses how to manage student anxiety and stress during Pandemic COVID-19.Before the webinar began, we also did an air campaign that has been done by uploading posterson participants’ Instagram post regarding “How Do you Deal with Stress and Anxiety in your version” and “This or That” about various ways to deal with Stress and Anxiety.
The pre- and post-test result showed a great improvement because it increased by 30% along with 44 students who filled in the Google Form pre- and post-test link. This results indicate that there is a very good increase in knowledge after being given the material. Participants were very enthusiastic and understood the material presented by a reliable psychologist from HIMPSI. We hope that this project can increase students awareness and knowledge about the impact of global pandemic COVID-19 on students anxiety and stress level and how to manage it.
